Neonatologist - Margate - Ft Lauderdale Suburb

Responsibilities

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Neonatologist to join our collaborative, experienced 4-physician team at Northwest Medical Center, an HCA Healthcare facility located in the heart of South Florida.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a growing program with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, quality improvement, education, and innovation.

Practice Highlights

  • Level III NICU with 17 beds and an ADC of 12
  • Approximately 2,000 annual deliveries
  • Care for infants as young as 22 weeks gestation
  • Attendance at high-risk deliveries and routine C-sections
  • Diverse patient population with a mix of Level III and lower-acuity infants
  • Advanced neonatal therapies including:
    • Therapeutic Hypothermia (Cooling)
    • High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV)
    • High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV)
  • Active involvement in quality improvement initiatives
  • Partnership with the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative (FPQC)
  • Teaching opportunities through PA student rotations
  • Flexible scheduling designed to support work-life balance
  • Highly experienced and exceptionally supportive nursing staff
  • NICU renovation planned in the coming years, supporting continued program growth
