Responsibilities

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Neonatologist within a thriving and growing practice. Located in Yakima Memorial Hospital, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of an expanding, well-supported team with a strong focus on collaboration, quality care, and work-life balance.

 

Thriving Practice with Growth Opportunities

MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital (MYMH) is home to a 15-bed Level III NICU serving as the regional perinatal center for Yakima County and several surrounding counties.

  • Only Level III NICU within a 70‑mile radius, providing indispensable support to multiple rural and critical access hospitals.
  • ADC of 14–16 patients, with ongoing growth and improving volumes
  • Currently offering conventional mechanical ventilation and bubble CPAP 
  • Clinical capabilities to include EEG monitoring and Cooling, with continued program development
  • Diverse patient population with a broad range of acuity and unique regional pathology
  • Long-standing referral pathways with major children's hospitals across Washington: Mary Bridge Children's Hospital (Tacoma), Seattle Children's Hospital, and Sacred Heart Children's (Spokane)

  • BE/BC in Neonatology (board licensing and certification costs covered by Pediatrix)

Benefits and Compensation

Pay Range (Base Pay): $290,000 - $320,000 

Other Types of Pay: Additional bonus and incentives may apply

Regular full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis.  Regular full-time team members are eligible for the following:

NOTE: Team members at least 21 years old and are active full-time or part-time employee are eligible to participate in our 401(k) Plan at the time of hire.  Team members who meet the plan’s minimum age requirement can enroll in the plan at any time, and contributions will begin as soon as administratively possible. 

Team Members are eligible to begin participating in the ESPP if they have been employed by Pediatrix for two consecutive months prior to the start of each calendar quarterly offering period and are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for five consecutive months during the year. 

Paid Sick Leave

Eligible full-time team members will receive a lump-sum grant of 70 hours or eight days, whichever is more beneficial to the team member, of paid sick leave each year on January 1. A newly hired full-time team member will receive a prorated lump-sum grant after working for 90 days. A lumpsum grant will then be provided on January 1 in each subsequent year as long as the team member remains eligible. Unused sick leave granted under this policy does not carry over from one year to the following year.   

NOTE:  The Company will not pay team members for unused sick leave upon termination of employment.
