Responsibilities

Pediatrix is looking for an experienced or new graduate neonatal nurse practitioner to join our group practicing at Baptist Health Lexington Hospital in Lexington, KY. This is a community hospital regionally referred to as “The Baby Hospital.”

 

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

  • · Coverage of a 32-bed, Level-III NICU
  • · Well-baby coverage
  • · Delivery room team leadership
  • · Nursing staff education
  • · Collaboration with on-site sub-specialty support, including maternal-fetal medicine, labor and delivery, general obstetrics, pediatric radiology, urology, ophthalmology, cardiology and genetics

 

About our practice:

 

Our practice has served the Lexington community for nearly 50 years. We offer a friendly, family-oriented, supportive team environment committed to delivering evidence-based medicine.

  • · Expanding NICU team currently consists of 5 physicians and when fully-staffed, 6 advanced practice nurses
  • · Dedicated delivery room team includes a NICU nurse and respiratory therapist to attend routine C-sections and meconium deliveries
  • · Supportive research environment with published and Magnet-recognized nursing staff

 

Our group is well versed at different modalities and interfaces to provide CPAP/NIPPV, delivering a wide range of services with sub-specialty support, excluding ECMO and surgical services. We enjoy supportive relationships with hospital administration, the hospital foundation and community members.

Qualifications

  • Current APRN national specialty certification
  • Minimum of a master’s degree
