Pediatric Intensivist - Children's Hospital - Palm Beach County - Florida

Responsibilities

 

Pediatrix® Medical Group seeks a Pediatric Intensivist to join our team at Palms West Hospital in Palm Beach County, FL.

 

  • Palms West Hospital is an HCA facility, the largest private health system in Florida
  • 24-bed pediatric floor with a 10-bed PICU; the NICU and newborn nursery is managed by our affiliated neonatology practice
  • Full fledged children's hospital with well represented sub-specialty service including an active hematology/oncology program with COG membership
  • Includes an active pediatric sedation program
  • Academic affiliation with a pediatric residency program with opportunities to mentor, teach and train pediatric residents
  • 4-physician Pediatric Intensivist team providing 24/7 coverage of the PICU, 4-physician team of Pediatric Hospitalists providing coverage of the peds floor
  • Schedule of one week on and one week off with flexibility to cover both the PICU and the peds floor
  • Rounding in hospital with call from home, there is also a call room available 
  • Located in Loxahatchee, a western suburb of West Palm Beach, the area is ranked on best places to live and boasts to be the winter equestrian capital of the world

  • 204-bed acute care facility has been providing services in this western Palm Beach community for over 30 years
  • Offers a wide range of specialty services, including a full service children's hospital and a Level III NICU, staffed by our affiliated neonatology practice
