Communtity:

With Columbia’s high percentage of college graduates, strong economy, affordable housing and deep ties to education, it’s no wonder it has managed the rare feat of retaining its college-town feel while transitioning into a highly desirable small city, according to Livability.com.  It's these factors that helped Columbia earn a spot on the Top 100 Best Places to Live list on Livability.com in 2019 as well.. The area is centrally located and offers quick access to St. Louis and Kansas City, and is also just minutes away from a host of historic towns, state parks, major shopping and a downtown area featuring restaurants, entertainment venues and the city’s MKT Trail, which has been called one of the best urban trails in the country. With its excellent school system, state-of-the-art healthcare facilities, low cost of living and clean environment, Columbia is a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
